Introduction: Dr. Yee Kok Meng is a Senior Consultant Cardiologist with a special interest in Interventional Cardiology. He joined Pantai Hospital KL in 2005, and has over 20yrs of clinical experience as an interventional cardiologist.
Dr. Yee obtained his degree in Internal Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, UK in 1993. He trained and specialized in Cardiology at the internationally renowned Papworth Heart Center at Cambridge University, UK. He subsequently moved to Toronto, Canada in 2001 where he completed a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the University of Toronto. Dr. Yee has contributed significantly to the field of cardiology and has published widely in respected scientific journals such as Circulation, Journal of American College Cardiology and the European Heart Journal. His research area of interests includes small vessel stenting, chronic total occlusions, percutaneous interventions in diabetics, intravascular ultrasound, aldosterone and autonomic tone in heart failure. In 2002, the University of Edinburgh awarded Dr. Yee the postgraduate MD doctorate in Cardiology with distinction.
Dr. Yee has vast experience in a wide range of interventional procedures and performs most of his cases via the transradial route. He is also experienced with the use of various adjunctive devices and therapies such as rotational atherectomy, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), OCT and coronary doppler wire (Pressure Wire). Introduction: Dr Chong Wei Peng graduated with a basic degree in the medical field from the University of Malaya in 1995. Upon graduation, he proceeded to serve in hospitals in Muar, Johor Bahru, Sibu and Sarawak. 3 years later he returned to the University of Malaya for post graduate specialist studies in internal medicine.
In 2000, he obtained a membership diploma from the Royal Colleges of Physicians (UK). So why Cardiology? Dr Chong found it fascinating, rapidly progressing, and very “logical” thanks to his keen interest in mathematics and physics. As such, in the same year, he started training in cardiology, echocardiography, and pacing, coronary and peripheral interventional procedures in the University Malaya Medical Centre. In 2003, Dr Chong was appointed lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine of University Malaya. Within 4 years, he rose to become Senior Lecturer & Cardiologist in the University of Malaya Medical Centre.
Today, the humble and friendly doctor is Consultant Cardiologist in Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur and Pantai Hospital Ampang. He has special interests in interventional cardiology, pacing and acute coronary syndromes. Dr Chong believes in giving the best evidence based care to his patients who are mainly from Klang Valley and other parts of Malaysia. He is also one of the few cardiologists in Gleneagles KL who chooses to routinely perform coronary angiography and intervention via radial artery, setting him apart from other colleagues in the same discipline as him.

Introduction:Dr Ernest Ng is a Consultant Cardiologist with a special interest in interventional cardiology as well as the management of heart rhythm abnormalities. He graduated from Leicester Medical School, United Kingdom in 1996. In addition, he specialises in the management of patients with cardiac arrhythmia, who may experience palpitations, dizziness, or blackouts. He is experienced at performing cardiac electrophysiology studies & radiofrequency ablation as a treatment for arrhythmia, and is also skilled in device therapy such as the implantation of pacemakers in patients with conduction disease (heart block), implantable defibrillators in patients at high risk of sudden cardiac death, & cardiac resynchronisation therapy in patients with heart failure.
