Completely worth it!

I stayed here twice during my trip through Singapore and Malaysia and enjoyed myself very much. The staff were really good to me and the hostel conditions were very good, including the free breakfast – several food options are nearby including some awesome baos. Outram Road Station is a bit of a walk but I didn’t find anything wrong with this place.

#3 – Blanc Inn

Introduction: Nestled in the heart of Singapore, Blanc Inn is a trendy brand boutique hostel which opened its doors in April 2013. They are ideally situated on a quiet street between the charming tourist districts of Little India and Arab Street, and a 5 minute walk to excellent transport links to other tourist attractions and directly to the airport.

Blanc Inn has been converted and tastefully furnished from an old shophouse to a warm and charming hostel in a historical district. Blanc meaning white in French, reflects the clean lines of our hostel design. Having extensively travelled the world in the last 15 years, they have experienced accommodation across the spectrum from backpacking to 5 star luxury and understand the needs of a traveller at every level. They aim to provide an improved hostelling experience by introducing a spot of luxury in our design of private and spacious sleeping areas.

Do come and experience their one-of-a-kind loft styled alcoves, the only place in town where you get plenty of personal space at very reasonable prices. These charming alcoves are generously proportioned and offer a lot more privacy and space than most hostel accommodation. They do not use bunk beds in a domitary style setting so the guests have plenty of privacy and will not end up sleeping next to a stranger.

Unique space, good price, great location

We appreciated staff friendliness, and the promptness with which you responded to our requests, including the call in the night for the tripped circuit and our laundry.

The alcoves were great because my husband and I could take separate alcoves and not affect each other through snoring, while still being close to each other, and not paying for 2 full rooms.

The place is well managed and thoughful of visitor needs. For the price range and location, and sleeping arrangements, we are very happy and would be glad to come back.

Reviews from Tripadvisor

Wu A great place to have retreats

On behalf of the young adults from Church of the Ascension, we want to express our gratitude to Emmanuel Joshua Formeloza and his dedicated team at MYMCA for being such wondeful hosts – our young adults had a blessed and wonderful time during our retreat at MYCMA. Joshua had been so helpful and flexible from the moment we got in touch and I appreciate how Joshua and his team made our stay at MYMCA so pleasant.

Thank you for accommodating our (sometimes) last minute changes and “custom” requests. It also helped us to keep within budget.

Thank you once again for all the arrangements you made for us. You even arranged for your colleagues to provide water for us – I don’t remember that being part of the package – we are so thankful for this bonus as it did come in handy when the young adults got thirsty.

Your sound system was also fantastic! We got to experience the quality during our sessions when our young adults led in music and praise. Thank you so much

Great Choice For Cost Conscious Traveling In Singapore

Had a great time staying here for three nights during an extended trip to Singapore. Each cubicle is spacious enough that you won’t feel too cramped and the bathrooms were extremely clean and well-kept. Location is a 5 minute walk from one of the MRT stations (Bendemeer I think) and there is a 7-11 and other conveniences right across the street.

Extremely well-kept common area and the wifi was very good. Overall enjoyed it and would no doubt choose it again if I end up in the Lion City in the near future.

I chose a lower bed at S$25/night (weekday price). Lower beds have more privacy as they have curtains. The room was like a small hotel room with two double-decker beds. It could have been slightly cleaner. The toilet was nice and clean. At night, I could hear music and people singing from a lounge nearby, so that’s a minus.

Their staff were nice and friendly.

Very Friendly and helpful staff, great location, clean basic accommodation.

We stayed here with our tween and teen (Family of 4) for our Christmas holidays. Breakfast included was toast with peanut butter or jam and tea and coffee- all you can eat and was perfectly adequate. Full fridge in the kitchen available to store any items you have just make sure you have a name on them. The staff clean and re stock daily. If you find something not quite right just let them know, they fix it up. It’s not because they haven’t done it, it is because the current guests might not be doing their bit. In 11 days of staying at the hostel I’d have to say it was the change in guests that changed how clean things were. Laundry service available- at Christmas time the price was $5SGD a kilo approximately and same day service. We had a family room and it was comfortable enough but we were out and about all day everyday. Chinatown MRT a few moments away, along with Telok Ayer MRT just down the road.

“Awesome vibe. Friendly atmosphere. Stylish hostel. Modern hostel.”

I really loved the location, being behind a highly trafficked street, and yet so quiet and quaint. This is very firmly in the realm of the best hostels! It feels really homely โ€“ has an ample sized kitchen and dining area and an area to chill on relaxing couches.

This is an amazing place, run by wonderful people. The professionalism of Jackie, Henry and Celine was admirable. Celine brought such warmth and a caring atmosphere that I will truly miss. She’s such a wonderful and loving person. Thank you for a very relaxed stay, I felt very comfortable at the hostel and felt very secure. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the facilities were kept to a high cleanliness standard.

Cannot beat the location, easy walking to everything including food stalls. I highly recommend it. Thanks
