#3 – Lupa

Introduction:

La Lupa is inspired by central Italian cuisine.

The space is blended between the Roman style pizzeria,

the restaurant serving fresh handmade pasta and traditional dishes with a modern approach, and the natural wine cellar.

The “maturation of the dough” is a concept very little known by the pizza makers, yet of absolute importance to learn to diversify the offer of lighter, good, crunchy and absolutely digestible pizzas than the others, developed with traditional systems of very short leavening and a bit retro, with disappointing results in terms of quality.

Menu Items:

  • Margherita (Price 24)
  • Pancetta (Price 26.50)
  • Amatriciana (Price 26.50)
  • Porcina (Price 27.50)

#5 – Spread

Introduction:

You can never have too many neighbourhood pizza spots. Camp Hill locals will agree, especially as they’re the lucky recipients of a brand-new pizza joint called Spread. The concept is the brainchild of Zoe Johnstone – head honcho of Say Cheese, a hugely popular delivery service that has cultivated thousands of followers thanks to its range of cheese-and-meat-packed grazing tables and platter boxes. Although initially obtained as a base to help expand Say Cheese’s operational scope, Spread’s cosy tenancy on Bennetts Road (next to New Order Coffee Co.) offered room to do more. With plenty of smallgoods on hand, Zoe decided to maximise the venue’s potential by opening it at night as a 35-seat casual pizza joint. Spread serves a concise menu (crafted by head chef Sergi Guasch) of hand-stretched pizzas, with nice options available alongside rotating pasta specials, snacks and build-your-own grazing spread featuring an assortment of Say Cheese’s provisions. A punchy selection of beer and wine is also available, making Spread – with its rustic and minimal aesthetic – the perfect go-to for convivial chow and cheer.
