Common Man Coffee Roasters (CMCR) is a café concept and coffee roaster established in Singapore back in 2013, with the aim of championing specialty coffee throughout the region. The key partners are Five Senses Coffee Australia, and the Singapore based Spa Esprit Group.

5. Dutch Colony Coffee Co.
Inspired by Dutch’s contribution to the history of coffee, Dutch Colony Coffee Co. was established to bring the best bean-to-cup experience, with its first retail store at Pasarbella, a rustic and open farmers’ market in Singapore. The space removed barriers, sparking passionate conversations and enabling sharing about coffee to take place and personal coffee experience to transpire. Although this retail store have ceased operation in Feb of 2018, after an amazing 5 years of operation, it provided a solid foundation for the company to create a space that connect coffee and people.
They focus on quality and the holistic experience forms the fundamental core value of all that they do: From the bean they source, right down to the cup they serve. In order to achieve higher quality control in their production as well as enhancing their services to their expanding clientele, a state-of-the art roasting facility was launched in 2014. This facility serves as their headquarter that houses the support team, roastery, and academy/training lab. The space was conceptualized around the transparency of production flow where every sections of the space are primarily made of glass.

Perk was started by coffee-crazy couple Paul and Serena. Their coffee journey began much earlier in Africa, where they both lived for several years. Serena grew up in Kenya where her grandparents pioneered the first Chinese restaurant in the coastal town of Mombasa. Paul moved to Kenya after finishing law school in Australia and became a farmer in Masaai land. It’s in Kenya that they fell in love with coffee and developed an appreciation for its delicious “fruity” coffees and the beautiful highland plantations.
From Kenya, they spent two years in Hawaii. Their search for great coffee continued as they explored the stunning sea view plantations of Kona, Big Island. Their spirit of adventure finally brought them to Singapore where they decided to put their roots down. Perk was born out of their passion for great coffee and travel.

They roast on Monday & Wednesday every week. Cut-off timing is at 12pm on the same day. Coffees are cupped and then shipped out the next working day.
Orders placed AFTER our cut-off timing are placed into the roasting queue for the next roasting day and shipped the day after, unless they have extras from their previous or any extra roasting session they might have.
