Introduction: Offering their minced pork rice along with their pig organ soup, it was a combination hard to miss as images of the minced pork was pretty enticing. Minced pork were soft and fluffy, drenched in light gravy, not what we expected. They were expecting thick gooey gravy, enveloping every minute crevasses. Nevertheless, gravy was still amply savoury, along with the delectable minced pork. on the sides were 2 halved braised eggs and some savoury and subtly sweet salted vegetables. On its own would have cost $3 (or more now, with inflation), which wasn’t that affordable considering its small portion.

Introduction: Their Teochew Fried White Kway Teow specialty is especially good. Koay teow and yellow rice noodles are stir-fried with eggs and bean sprouts, served with prawns, mixed with cucumber, stir-fried sliced fish cake, and sliced Chinese lap cheong. It’s just as tasty if it’s served with a small slice of fresh green lime and a squirt of fresh lime juice over it. On top of that, the lard bits are crispy and crunchy.

#4 – Lau Goh Teochew Chye Thow Kway

Introduction: The carrot cake stall that this stall belongs to started out operating in the 1960s, and it retains a good reputation to this day. During the 1970s, this stall was operated during the first years by Lau Goh, who is the first proprietor to run a business in this location. In the subsequent years, Peter Goh, also known as Peter Dumbledork, took over the stall and continues to do so. Peter is hearing-impaired, but by using lip-reading and pointing to items on the menu, he was able to take our orders.
