#7 – Scarecrow

Introduction:

Scarecrow is a warm & welcoming place combining Café/Kitchen, Florist, Grocer, Gift Baskets, Ready

It began when Alison and Paul moved into the city and struggled to find a central city stockist of the foods they wanted daily. They were looking for  quality fresh breads, organic coffee, artisan cheeses, fresh olive oils, organic produce and more. And so, without any real understanding of running a retail and hospitality business, Alison and Paul launched Scarecrow. A place to find good things to eat, build community relationships and foster small artisan producers.

They believe a city functions best when residents, workers and visitors can walk or cycle to find all their core necessities. A city should be a friendly place where it’s easy to feel at home, and where you can still access great specialty things that you might otherwise have to go to the farm to find!

Established in 2014, Scarecrow aims to be this place. Supported by a fantastic team, Alison and Paul continue to evolve their vision to offer the best they can to the local Auckland community.
