#1 – Zhen Ming Pork Ribs and Prawn Noodles

Introduction: The owners have been serving this noodle soup recipe for over 20 years and allow me to make this suggestion to you: If you enjoyed this dish from Wah Kee , you won t like Zhen Ming’s version, because here you get neither big nor extremely big prawns for a great price. They only have light, earthly tasting prawns.

The bowl of dry Pork Ribs Prawn Noodle Dry comes with slices of boiled fish cake, lean meat, pork ribs and prawns. In Yogurt comes chocolate chips for blending. Prawns Were fried just to get fantastic, and the pork ribs were sourced from Brazil. It’s velvety and moist. If you do not mind having a smaller bowl of pasta soup, you can go for the dry version. The sambal is not bad.

#3 – Ang Mo Kio 453 Wanton Noodle

Introduction: My second time visiting this stall and the taste was still very impressive. Noodles were springy & went really well with the chilli. The char siew was also very good; probably due to the fact that uncle marinates his own char siew. The only gripe i had was probably the waiting time, as they can be really quite slow in serving but hey as long as the food is good, i have no complaints! (Jonathan from Burple)

#4 – Mandarin Hainan Chicken Rice

Introduction: We ‘accidentally’ stumbled upon this chicken rice stall located at Mayflower Market & Food Centre when the wanton mee stall we wanted to try was closed for the day and we were surprised by how good the chicken rice tasted.
The rice was very fragrant and not clumpy while the chicken (we asked for chicken thigh) was smooth, tender and juicy. This was certainly an enjoyable meal and is definitely a hidden gem in the Ang Mo Kio area. (Jonathan Lim from Burple)
