Introduction:

Jekyll & Hyde was one of Singapore’s pioneer cocktail bars. They relocated in 2020 to our new home along Neil Rd, spanning two floors, where they have relaunched as a restaurant. 

They serve Singapore soul food created by our Head Chef Alvin Tan, and paired with whimsical cocktails to elevate your dining experience.

#7 – Bar Stories

Introduction:

For those of you that don’t know, they have a fantastic restaurant with their at Bar Stories. Habibi-san does a very interesting and honestly downright delicious take on Middle Eastern & Mediterranean cuisine with a twist of Japanese ingredients and techniques.

Their latest dish, served as a special this week, is their take on Spanakopita, a Greek spinach pie dish. They have forgone the pie, and turned it into something of a classic chophouse dish of creamed spinach with mascarpone cheese, kombu and the addition of Japanese curry. It’s a flavour bomb, that makes a great bar snack with our Bar Stories cocktails or as an accompaniment to the wood fired meats from Habibi-san.

#8 – The Guild

Introduction: A project by Asia’s leading independent craft brewery, Young Master, The Guild is a convivial craft beer taproom and restaurant on the buzzing Keong Saik Road. Chef Alton Huang serves up homemade comfort food featuring local and regional produce. Introduction: The appeal of this Holland Village stalwart lies with its relaxed and as-simple-as-it-gets-chill vibe. Be greeted by the unmistakable bright yellow backdrop of a bar, where the walls are lined with a diverse range of spirits and at the forefront, 5 taps of brew vie for your attention (Heineken, Asahi, Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc, Guinness and Archipelago Summer IPA). With more than 60 single malts whiskies and a selection of alcopops and bottled beers, including a Trappistes Rochefort 6; first introduced in 1953 and survived two World Wars; it started out as a beer designed for ‘medicinal purposes’.
