This September, Jurong Bird Park kicks off its very own month of giving. The park is sharing its festive jubilee cheer through carnival activities and initiatives, to give back to the community for 50 years of unwavering support.
As one of Singapore’s oldest wildlife parks, Jurong Bird Park which opened in 1971 undoubtedly holds fond memories for many seniors who grew up with the park. $1 admissions will be extended to all fully vaccinated seniors in September, in support of the nation’s vaccination efforts, and for seniors to walk down memory lane with their loved ones.
Launched earlier in March, Jurong Bird Park’s first digital GPS game trail, Wildlife Quest with Detective Blue, returns for its second season with brand new content. Embark on a digital quest trail with trusty virtual companion, Detective Blue, and meet new real-life avian friends.
September is Jurong Bird Park’s own month of giving – the park celebrates 50 years by giving back to the community. All fully vaccinated seniors can enjoy $1 admission to the park, to revisit fond memories with friends and family. The park is also inviting 800 beneficiaries from various social support agencies to visit throughout the month and give everyone the opportunity to connect with the colourful world of birds.

Detective Blue’s Wildlife Quest CACAWnival
Over the school holidays and weekends in September, join in the festivities with avian themed carnival games at Detective Blue’s Wildlife Quest CACAWnival to win exclusive prizes. Engage in sustainable craft activities and breathe new life into pre-loved bags and pouches or bring your own reusable materials to the art jam and turn them into recycled masterpieces.
Each year, WRS extends complimentary visits into its wildlife parks to selected beneficiaries. In conjunction with International Charity Day in September and its jubilee celebration, Jurong Bird Park has invited 800 beneficiaries from various social support agencies for the underprivileged, individuals with special needs, as well as foreign workers to visit the park on different days of the month, so everyone has an opportunity to connect with the park’s avian friends. Each beneficiary will also receive a Jurong Bird Park goodie bag and a complimentary Hello from the Wild Side session which is a fun and interactive virtual interaction with Wildlife Reserves Singapore’s (WRS) animals and their caretakers.
Members can also join in on the spirit of giving – from 3 to 12 September, Jurong Bird Park will match each visit by a Friend of Wildlife or Friend of Bird Park member with more free admissions for its beneficiaries, so that more people can visit the park this year.
