Growing up surrounded by hundreds of cattle and an abundance of dairy, milk is a huge part of our Global Chief Barista and resident Milk Connoisseur, Yuki Takeuchi’s childhood. He travels frequently around ranches in Hokkaido to source for the best quality milk.

The selected ultra-premium Hokkaido BIEI Jersey Milk is highly rich and creamy with a tinge of sweetness. The milk also includes a high butterfat and protein content making it suitable for dairy products such as cheese and butter.

Whilst the milk is used in our beverages, it truly pairs perfectly with our selection of single origin coffee beans. This creates a cup of smooth velvety latte. A menu signature that all coffee connoisseurs should try.

  • Coffee can improve your cognitive functions and memory, as it enhances your alertness, attention, and concentration.
  • Coffee can lower your risk of developing certain diseases, such as type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and some cancers, as it contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds that protect your cells from damage.

Q: How much coffee should I drink per day?

A: The amount of coffee you should drink per day depends on your personal preference, tolerance, and health conditions. However, a general guideline is to limit your intake to no more than 400 milligrams of caffeine per day, which is equivalent to about four cups of brewed coffee. Excessive consumption of coffee can cause side effects such as insomnia, anxiety, jitteriness, headaches, and dehydration.

Q: How can I make my coffee taste better?

A: There are many ways to make your coffee taste better, depending on your preference and budget. Some of the ways include:

  • Choosing high-quality coffee beans that are fresh and roasted to your liking. You can buy whole beans and grind them yourself, or buy pre-ground beans from reputable roasters.
  • Using clean and filtered water that is heated to the optimal temperature for brewing. The ideal temperature is between 90°C to 96°C for most methods. Avoid using boiling water or reheating your coffee, as this can affect the flavor and aroma.
  • Using the right amount of coffee grounds and water for your brewing method. A common ratio is one tablespoon of coffee grounds per six ounces of water, but you can adjust it according to your taste and strength. You can also use a scale or a measuring spoon to ensure accuracy.

Each method has its own advantages and disadvantages, and requires different equipment and technique. You can experiment with different methods to find your favorite one.
  • Adding milk, cream, sugar, or other sweeteners and flavorings to your coffee. This can enhance the taste and texture of your coffee, as well as balance the bitterness and acidity.
