Introduction: Tan Soh Eng had been in AMK market store for more then 30 years selling cantonese style Yong Tau Foo with their speciality home made chilli sauce.
Offerings: Chee Cheong Fun Yong Tau Fu is what stands out for this stall. Coupled with the sauces (red sweet and chilli hand made sauce), it is definitely worth the try! The soya bean and ikan billis soup which have been cooked for 8 hours taste awesome too. What makes them unique is the additional choice of chee cheong fun as part of the main, instead of the usual bee hoon, noodle or rice.

2. Yong Xiang Xing Tau Foo
Introduction: Yong Xiang Xing Tau Foo stall has been in existence since the food centre began operations in the 1970s. Throughout this year, they are still situated at the exact same spot. The stall is run by four brothers and one thing to note: they don’t do noodles for their Yong Tau Foo.
Offerings: Yong Xiang Xing Yong Tau Foo consists of silky toufu, fishballs and taupok, with the absence of any noodles nor carbo fillings. This is the perfect selection for a light, savoury treat or side dish in accompaniment with other good snacks.

Introduction: This stall has been dishing out Ampang style Yong Tau Foo for over forty years. One of the stall owners in Ampang decided to expand his empire by setting up a stall in Singapore and chose this row of shop houses in Sembawang, just outside of Nee Soon Camp.
Offerings: Hakka Yong Tau Foo comes with beancurd, bitter gourd, brinjal, fishball, fried beancurd skin, fried quail egg, fried wanton, lady’s finger and tonnes of kangkong drenched in their secret tasty gravy. Introduction: Contrary to its name “Soon Li” 顺利, which in Chinese means “smooth flowing”. The stall operates from 12 midnight to 3 in the morning. – 3 hours of operation only. Do note that they are closed on Sunday night / Monday morning.
Offerings: What stood out for the Yong Tau Foo in this stall was the wide selection of unusual YTF ingredients – ranging from internal organs, fried items like pork belly, and seafood. The soup base is cooked with deep fried ikan billis and pork belly – filled with rich aroma, and it’s full of flavours – not overly salty or oily.

Introduction: Poy Kee Yong Tau Foo stall sells a hearty & comforting bowl of Yong Tau Foo, and they are also one of the many great options to choose from at People’s Park food centre! It offer a sole standard set dish where every bowl of Yong Tau Foo is accompanied with a bowl of noodles!
Offerings: The bowl of Yong Tau Foo broth carried an extreme lightness in flavour, and it consist of soybean mixture – a very light touch of pepper and spring onion which turns out to be refreshing and healthy to savour. In addition, they offer a mixture of ingredients such as fishball, fried bean curd skin & two varieties of handmade tofu that came along with the broth! Introduction: A heritage hawker business which began in the late 1950s, they are one of the original hawkers at Golden Mile when it first opened in 1975, and the entire operation is family-run. Almost everything there is painstakingly handmade with no shortcuts and compromises.
Offerings: The fish paste items and fishballs are made daily with pure yellowtail fish meat with no additives or flour, and the texture comes out smooth but with no processed texture. The soup base is prepared with fish bones, and the water used to cook the items makes up the soup base (as opposed to it being usually made out of ikan bilis and soy beans). Some of the boiled items like the stuffed tau pok, fishballs and fish maw are left simmering in a giant vat of soup base, and customers can opt to pick whichever pieces they like from the vat itself.

Introduction: Established in year 1997. Goldhill (Jin Shan) is the owner’s Chinese name. His father who started selling Hakka food from a pushcart in the 1940’s, eventually opened a restaurant and named it after him!

Introduction: In 2013, Andy (the owner) decided on a career change after years in the timber industry and opened the first Bai Nian outlet in Albert Centre (near Bugis Junction). At Bai Nian, the couple sold Yong Tau Foo created by Andy, for Amy. The public quickly felt the love of Bai Nian’s unique Yong Tau Foo and success came pretty quickly. Introduction: From a roadside stall at Sago Lane in the 1960s, Xiu Ji Ikan Bilis Yong Tau Fu moved into Chinatown Complex in 1987 and sees long queues every morning for its incredibly cheap handmade Yong Tau Foo.
Offerings: For just $3, you get to choose 6 pieces of ingredients with noodles, or 8 pieces of Yong Tau Foo without noodles. The Yong Tau Foo is utterly soft, the fshballs are incredibly bouncy and soft and the tender fish paste within is perfectly seasoned. Every single ingredient in the bowl, including the beancurd skin with fish paste, is light, fresh, and savoury. You may consider to have pepper added into the soup for a boost of taste! In addition, soya beans have been added to the soup for its silky smooth texture.

15. Yentafo Kruengsonge
Introduction: Founded in 1999 by Madam A. Mallika, Yentafo Kruengsonge is a Thai Noodle Specialist Restaurant that started in Bangkok, Thailand. It has 28 outlets in Thailand and two in Laos. In 2016, partnering Minor Food Group Singapore, Yentafo Kruengsonge came to Singapore, bringing with it the ubiquitous Thai noodle dish ‘yen ta fo’. Currently, there are three outlets in Singapore – Cathay Cineleisure Orchard, One@Kentridge and Kallang Wave Mall (latest outlet).
Offerings: Yentafo, their equivalent of Yong Tau Foo, is a Thai noodle dish comprising rice noodles crowned with a myriad of ingredients in a light broth tinted pink with a mildly-sweet ‘yentafo’ sauce. Both the flat rice noodles and pink broth are imported directly from Thailand. There isn’t any soya bean in the broth. Instead, it is prepared by simmering pork bones, radish and coriander root, then tinged with a pink sauce that the owner, Madam Mallika, makes. She uses natural ingredients such as fermented red tofu and cooked Thai red rice in her recipe.
